The year 2025 marks the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan period and serves as a pivotal year for laying a solid foundation for the 15th Five-Year Plan. The Beijing Historic and Cultural City Protection Committee has strengthened overall planning, coordination, integrated implementation, and oversight of historic and cultural city protection. Under the overall coordination of the Capital Planning and Construction Commission, it has worked closely with central and municipal authorities, together with municipal and district-level departments, to implement the capital’s key plans. In accordance with the Regulations of Beijing Municipality on the Protection of the Historic and Cultural City, these joint efforts have delivered substantial progress in the protection of Beijing as a historic and cultural city.
With the strong support of all member organizations of the Committee, the Office of the Beijing Historic and Cultural City Protection Committee, together with the Capital Institute for Cultural Innovation and Communication Engineering, has compiled the Chronicle of Major Events in the Protection of Beijing as a Historic and Cultural City 2025, which is hereby released.
