Notice of Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources on Reviewing Some Maps as Entrusted by the Ministry of Natural Resources
To whom this may concern:
As per the Notice of Ministry of Natural Resources on Map Reviewing (No. 18/2022, Annex), starting from April 1, 2022, some of the maps originally reviewed by the Ministry of Natural Resources will be entrusted to the Commission following the principle of localized management. The specific requirements are hereby notified as follows.
I. Scope of review
1. The national map and maps reflecting at least two administrative regions/provinces/municipalities directly under the Central Government;
2. Maps of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan;
3. The world map and maps partially reflecting foreign territories.
Electronic maps for navigation purposes are excluded. The commissioning period is from April 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023.
II. Application method
At present, the issuance of map review licenses in Beijing has digitalized. Applicants can either submit physically on site or virtually online. For the sake of convenience, online submission is advised.
Option 1: Online submission
Please follow the path of “Capital Window” - search for map review - click online application.
After applying online, two hard copies of the map shall be submitted to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources. The acceptance process will be initiated only after all relevant materials are submitted in a complete manner.

Option 2: On-site submission
