On August 31, 2024, the online release event for the China Applied Journal Evaluation Report (2023 Edition) (hereinafter referred to as “the Report”) was officially held. The event was organized under the guidance of the Institute of Vocational and Continuing Education at the Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences, co-hosted by the Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation at Wuhan University and the Ministry of Education’s Engineering Research Center for Digital Publishing and Intelligent Services Technology. Leaders, experts, and editors from the Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Press and Publication, and various applied universities, vocational colleges, and applied journal editorial offices gathered virtually to witness the launch of the Report. Beijing Surveying and Mapping was successfully selected as one of the core journals in the Report, being the only surveying and mapping journal to be recognized under the Resource, Environment, and Security category.
