Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources recognized the winners of the 2023 “Outstanding Natural Resources News,” “Top Ten Publicity Platforms,” and individuals and organizations with exceptional performance in publicity efforts. The Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping was honored as one of the outstanding units for its achievements in publicity.

Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and under the leadership of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources and the strong support of the institute’s Party Committee, the Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping carried out a series of well-organized and strategically planned publicity activities in 2023. These efforts focused on promoting the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, the institute’s core values, and significant achievements in surveying and geographic information. The institute successfully conducted multi-channel, multi-level thematic activities and prominent publicity campaigns that were frequently featured on media platforms CCTV’s “News Broadcast,” Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, and Beijing Daily, as well as at major exhibitions such as the China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair, Beijing Cultural Forum, and the China Surveying, Mapping, and Geoinformation Technology and Beidou Application Expo. The institute’s exposure and influence in society have significantly increased, firmly establishing a correct public opinion and telling the story of natural resources in China.

Building on this recognition, the Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping will continue to uphold the principle of integrating and promoting both business and publicity efforts. The institute will keep innovating its publicity strategies and methods, deepening collaboration with various media outlets, and create more relatable, impactful, and insightful publicity content.
