On July 25, following the Commission’s instruction, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General Sun Longguang, accompanied by key leaders from the Huairou Branch and Huibei Town, conducted a comprehensive inspection of geological disaster prevention in Huairou District.

Sun Longguang and his team visited potential landslide and debris flow hazard points at Ganhuyugou in Duanshuling Village, Huibei Town. They were briefed on the 2024 Geological Disaster 1+N+n Emergency Command System plan, flood prevention deployments, and evacuation strategies. The team also conducted an on-site examination of the geological disaster control project at Ganhuyugou and reviewed the relocation and safety measures for at-risk residents, the construction of emergency shelters, as well as the rectification measures for previous inspections.

Sun Longguang commended the 2024 Geological Disaster 1+N+n Emergency Command System. Sun also called for 1) enhancing awareness for geological disaster prevention during the flood season with a strong sense of responsibility to safeguard lives and property; 2) leveraging the Huairou Branch as the leading entity in geological disaster flood prevention, utilizing professional monitoring results to guide towns and villages in disaster-prone areas, while strengthening information sharing across units and departments for cohesive action; and 3) conducting timely post-rain inspections of geological hazard points, summarizing post-disaster experiences, anticipating potential risks due to the delayed nature of geological disasters, and implementing effective measures for high-risk areas to ensure a stable flood season.
