Data elements have become essential resources and innovation drivers for cultivating new quality productive forces and fostering high-quality development. Their value in boosting economic growth, enriching lives, and enhancing urban governance is increasingly apparent. The promotion of exemplary data application cases across industries are crucial for amplifying and multiplying their value, thereby supporting socio-economic advancement.

To expedite the implementation of the “Three-Year Action Plan for Data Elements X (2024-2026)” (hereinafter the “Action Plan”) and highlight exemplary cases, the Beijing Municipal Government Services and Data Management Bureau, in collaboration with the Beijing Software and Information Service Industry Association, conducted a selection for exemplary “Data Element X” cases in Beijing. During this process, 100 cases across 14 industry fields were recognized for their advanced technology, innovative models, and significant application results. Each case was evaluated and analyzed for its background, features, and value, on the basis of which the “2024 Beijing ‘Data Element X’ Exemplary Case Collection” came into being. The Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping was successfully included with its “Key Technologies and Application Demonstration of Basic Maps for Intelligent and Connected Vehicles” project.
