The Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall (“BPEH” hereinafter), serving as a comprehensive window of Beijing’s planning and development history, was the first stop of General Secretary Xi’s visit to the city in February 2014. Representing a vital link between urban planning and public engagement, the youth team of BPEH, with an average age of under 34, upholds the esteemed tradition of National Youth Civilization. Since awarded with the title in 2008, this team has ardently contributed its youthful vigor. Guided by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources and bolstered by broad societal support, the team is steadfast in its commitment to prioritize Beijing’s political significance while shouldering the foremost mission of crafting a prestigious emblem for the city’s planning exhibition. With unwavering dedication, the team chronicles Beijing’s planning journey, showcasing remarkable achievements, and perpetuating the city’s cultural legacy. Notably, BPEH has been awarded as a National Youth Education Base, National Science Education Base, Patriotic Education Base of Beijing, and an On-site Teaching Base of the Organization Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.

On September 19, 2023, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, alongside various ministries and commissions, awarded BPEH the prestigious “2-star National Youth Civilization” title. This accomplishment marks a dual victory for BPEH. Not only is it the first two-star National Youth Civilization title winner among all entities affiliated to the Commission, but it’s also the only institution to hold the Youth Civilization title both at the national and Beijing municipal level.

BPEH was awarded the prestigious “Two-Star National Youth Civilization” medal on February 23, 2024, by Zhou Tongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group and Deputy Director General of the Commission.
