The production of the Map, which took over a half year, was mainly done by the Beijing Institute of Mapping and Design. The front of the map consists of two thematic maps, “Beijing Red Tourism Resources” and “PKU Red Building and Early Revolutionary Sites of CPC in Beijing”. The former shows 237 red tourism resources in the city, including patriotic education bases, cultural relics protection units and tourist attractions, which are described in detail in the form of a table. The latter shows 31 sites of early revolutionary sites of the Party in Beijing in the form of maps, including the Red Building of Peking University, the former residence of Li Dazhao, and the former editorial office of New Youth, which highlight the original mission of the CPC. On the back of the map are nine classic routes of red tourism that show the journey of the CPC in different periods of revolutionary history, making the tourism resources systematic, accessible and readable. A thematic map of each route and important stops along the route are provided together with real photos and text descriptions, which will help party members understand deeply the historical connotation and contemporary value of the Party. The text part of the map has undergone several rounds of reviews by the Publicity Department and the Party History Research Office of the CPC Beijing Committee to ensure authority and rigor.
