On February 2nd, 2010, an illegal construction in Jiangcun Village, Baoshan Town, Huairou District was demolished. The construction occupies an area of 230 m2 (0.34 mu), and consists of 6 single-storey houses. The land occupied used to be an orchard, and is in farmland preservation zone in the land-use plan, so the current construction is against the general land use planning and therefore should be demolished.

　　Huairou Branch paid great attention to the case since upon the receipt of the report in September 2009. It's confirmed through investigation that the construction is in violation of the rules of "The Law of Land Administration of the People's Republic of China". Therefore, in December 2009, Huairou Branch issued Notice on the Order of Rectification of Illegal Land-Use Behaviors, and further demolished the illegal construction with the cooperation of the town government on February 8th after giving sufficient ideological and land law education to the builder.
