Up to now, interviews and investigations into Mafang, Daxingzhuang, Yukou, Donggaocun, Xiagezhuang, Machangying and Shandongzhuang have been finished. On spots where hidden geological disaster danger exists, physical survey (to drill holes to identify geological structure) and chemical survey (to sample for laboratory test) were carried out rapidly. Meanwhile, the interviews and investigations into Xinggu Development Area and Pinggu Township are proceeding. The survey will provide geological reference for the development scale, function division and the overall deployment of various constructions of the planned area of Pinggu District New City, reduce the damages or unnecessary economic losses brought to the new city construction by geological structure problems and guarantee the scientific and sustainable development of the planned new city. The Pinggu Branch will next quickly carry out geological expert argumentation work on the basis of the written report formed with the results of physical and chemical surveys.
