The 41st World Earth Day fall on April 22, when Huairou Office carried out a series of activities on the theme of "cherishing earth resources, transforming development mode and advocating low-carbon life". Firstly, a science popularization and promotion training conference for main leaders and land management personnel from 14 towns and townships was organized for over 20 participants in terms of land utilization situation, economic and social development situation, land planning target and task as well as land and resources protection of Huairou District based on the revision of overall planning for land use, with a focus on "strictly protecting farmlands and using land conservatively and intensively". The form of conference was used to replace the training.

　　Secondly, the promotional sites were set up in the yard of Huairou Office. Staffs headed by Tang Junsheng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, and Wang Dong, Associated Researcher, distributed over 500 copies of materials such as the World Earth Day - Special Issue of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources, the Promotional Manual of the 41st World Earth Day to people who came to the office and local residents. The promotional slogans and air balloons of "cherishing earth resources, transforming development mode, advocating low-carbon life", "humanistic Beijing, scientific Beijing and green Beijing", "protecting environment is protecting our earth" were hung in the yard, and 16 exhibition boards were arranged, further enhancing the promotional atmosphere.
