Beijing’s summary reports on iron and bauxite, the results of the Mineral Resources Utilization Status Survey Project, have successfully passed the review of the National Project Office. On this basis, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources held an expert meeting on August 10, 2011 to review the summary results on copper, gold, silver, molybdenum, manganese, fluorite, chromite and pyrite. Participating experts concluded that the summary reports on the 8 individual minerals had the right technical route and work methods, comprehensive results and reliable data and meet the specified mineral summary requirements. Deputy Director Li Feiyan attended the meeting and gave work instructions.
After passing the preliminary review, the general report on individual minerals will be submitted to the National Project Office for review in later August. Beijing still has ongoing summary work on coal, cement-use limestone and marble. In accordance with the unified work plan of the Ministry of Land and Resources, the summary reports are expected to submitted for preliminary review in September and then reported to the National Project Office.
