The Ministry of Land and Resources issued the Notice on the Approval and Construction of the First Group of Field Scientific Observation and Research Bases (The Ministry of Land and Resources No.183) on Nov. 12, 2011. Three field scientific observation and research bases proposed by Science and Technology Cooperation Department were approved to be named and constructed. They are namely Beijing Fangshan Field Base for Comprehensive Exploration Technology, Beijing Field Base for Plain Groundwater and Beijing Field Base for Shallow Geothermal Energy.
　　The approval of the field scientific observation and research bases is an important step to advance and promote scientific and technological innovation. The first group of scientific observation and research bases approved included a total of eight-four field bases.
