On-site investigation on enterprises by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources

  Together with Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning, Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology and Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, the Major Issue Office of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources established a long-term contact mechanism with enterprises in Beijing by helping the enterprises solve the historical issues and problems encountered in land development and construction.
  On Dec. 13, 2011, the Major Issue Office led by Director Ding Xiaozong went to Beijing Electric Power Company investigating the historical problems of land ownership and application process of new project. Based on the achievements of the investigation on Nov. 1 and the report of Beijing Electric Power Company, Ding Xiaozong suggested that Beijing Electric Power Company should improve the land use procedures by strengthening the contact with district government, and submit the inventory form to Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources after a thorough summary of land use related issues. Based on deep research with Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform and Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning, the Major Issue Office will submit the materials to Beijing Municipal People's Government and the Ministry of Land and Resources. The historical land ownership problem and the application extended problem will be solved as soon as possible.
  On Dec. 14, 2011, led by Wang Bing, Deputy Director of the Major Issue Office and Director of Regulation and Monitoring Service Department of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources, the Major Issue Office investigated Shougang Ertong Company on the land issue for cultural and creative industries. Wang Bing suggested that Shougang Ertong Company should establish awareness of the land use of the whole park while developing cultural and creative industries. Firstly, they should solve the ownership issues of the land and the existing plant. Then they should explore effective ways of compensated land use by plant reconstruction, government lease, co-investment and investment selection. The Major Issue Office suggested a pilot project to explore an effective development model. Representatives from Shougang stated that they would carefully consider the suggestion proposed by the Major Issue Office to improve the development of Shougang Ertong Cultural and Creative Industries Park.
