Chief Planner Ding Xiao Chairs a Special Meeting to Discuss the Target and Implementation Work of the Construction Land 30% Down Per Unit of GDP in Beijing during the "Twelfth Five-Year"

  On June 13, Chief Planner DING Xiao chaired a special meeting to discuss the target of the construction land down 30% per unit of GDP in Beijing during the "Twelfth Five-Year" and make an implementation plan in districts and counties. All branch offices and related divisions & centres under the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources (BMBLR) attended the meeting.
  At the meeting, WANG Bing introduced the background of issuing the Instructions of the Ministry of Land and Resources on Reducing the Construction Land per Unit of GPD (Guo Tu Zi Fa [2012] No. 24) and the significance of fulfilling such target. Meanwhile, Mr. WANG pointed out that the implementation plan is determined while mainly considering the reduction rate of land consumption per unit of GDP in districts and counties during the '"Eleventh Five-Year", their GDP growth targets in the "Twelfth Five-Year" and their overall implementation status of land use planning, as well as the potential growth of planned construction land etc., and from multiple perspectives, such as the function orientation of all districts and counties, favorable conditions for facilitating to achieve the plan. The Division of Control and Supervision explained the technical route and the concrete implementation plan.
  Attendees conducted extensive research and discussion at the meeting.
  Finally, Mr. DING stressed that this work played an important role in the land administration work against the background of the land structure adjustment and land use transformation, and that all districts and counties should take the opportunity to study the series of policies of "Control the Construction Land and Plan the Existing Land", so as to promote the transformation of economic development mode via land use transformation. He also required that Division of Control and Supervision issue the meeting materials to all districts and counties after the meeting, and that all districts and counties timely report the work progress to the local governments, as well as the feedback and opinions in combination with local real situations and development trends.
