On the morning of November 4, 2013, Director-General Wei Chenglin of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources chaired a meeting about municipal-level acceptance of routine correction of land problems in Changping District. The member organs in the municipal-level acceptance panel including Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Planning Commission, Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission, Municipal Agriculture Commission and Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources, as well as Changping District Government and relevant district government agencies and town/township administrations were also present at the meeting.
　　At the meeting, Deputy Director Sun Wei of Changping District Government reported about the routine correction of land problems in the district. Vice Chief Planner Wang Bing of Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources briefed about the plan of acceptance. In accordance with the Statement of Routine Land Supervision of the Central Government and instructions made by the Municipal Government, the Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources spearheaded to establish the municipal-level acceptance team for correction of routine land problems in Changping District consisting of relevant government agencies in Beijing. The acceptance team engaged in the municipal-level acceptance on October 31-November 12, 2013. This meeting marked the kickoff of acceptance work.
　　Director-General Zhang Yanyou of Changping District Government, on behalf of the District Government, made a speech about the correction of routine land problems, existing problems and establishment of long-term mechanism. He said Changping District will strictly follow the requirements of the Ministry of Land and Resources and Beijing Municipal Government to ensure the correction is executed to the full extent.
　　Director-General Wei Chenglin of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources, made the mobilization speech on behalf of the Municipal Government. He pointed out that Changping District Government had given great emphasis on correcting the routine land problems and made great efforts in this regard. He said Changping District will make the utmost efforts to finalize the task of problem correction. The focal points of the problem correction are on the illegal and improper land occupancy. Because of the heavy tasks, the towns/townships should enhance their awareness of responsibility. Second, Changping District will maintain the results to avoid the recurrence of the problems. No new illegal behaviors should occur. Third, the District should make science-based planning and integrate urban-rural development based on the characteristics of the District and its location. Third, it will serve the people and solve some prominent problems such as Five Small Rural Projects and agricultural facilities. When solving problems for the farmers, the government agencies in the municipal, town and township levels will enhance the communications, regulate management, safeguard the rights and interest of farmers and support development or rural collective economy at the same time.
