Recently, to implement the municipal leader's instructions about making practice in mass line campaign and learn about the people's situation and opinions, the Arable Land Preservation Division organized the Municipal Planning Commission, Municipal Agriculture Commission and relevant divisions in Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources to make a special survey about rural homestead land in nearby and remote suburbs, districts, counties, towns, townships and villages in Beijing. Till today, they have finalized the survey and submitted the survey report Situation, Problems and Proposals on Approval and Housing Construction of Rural Homestead Land to CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Municipal Government, which is designed to provide reference for the municipal leaders to make decisions.
　　The survey, while sorting out and summing up the basic information about the use and management of rural homestead land in recent years in Beijing, has targeted at the major problems reflected by some rural residents about no homestead land is available, difficult approval and serious supply-demand conflict, has made meticulous and fact-based analysis; proposed the specific measures and policies from the perspective of regulations, policies and operation, i.e., facilitating compilation of plans for rural collective construction land, enhancing connection of urban planning and land planning, and strengthening administration synergy; considering the realities, proposed developing the new model of rural homestead land and construction of farmers' housing in the suburbs of Beijing to identify the long-term solutions to housing problems faced by farmers in Beijing suburbs.
