The Bureau and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Geology & Mineral Exploration and Development co-organized the comprehensive geological evaluation and study on the quality of land resources of Beijing Municipality to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the quality of land resources in Beijing by geological and geochemical factors, explore and establish a scientific and comprehensive land resources quality evaluation system and provide strong support for scientific utilization of land resources and optimization of spatial allocation of land use in future.

    Currently, the proposal for initializing this project has been approved by Beijing municipal government. On March 31, 2014, an expert discussion meeting on the work program for comprehensive geological evaluation on the quality of land resources of Beijing Municipality was organized. (April 3, 2014)
