On Aug 18, 2014, Beijing Municipal Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision issued the Announcement on Local Standards of Beijing (Biao Zi No. 13, 2014) to approve the standard Codes for Identifying Land Types (standard No.: DB11/T 1108-2014, approved on Aug 13, 2014, implemented as of Dec 1, 2014) submitted by the Bureau for approval.

    Included in the project referring to revising local standards of Beijing and approved by Beijing Municipal Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision in 2012, the Codes for Identifying Land Types is a enforceable and practical local instructive standard in keeping with actual conditions of Beijing, and was prepared based on the national standard Current Land Use Classification and results of related tasks (e.g. land survey in Beijing). It is applicable to land survey in Beijing, and referable in land type identification. It covers 12 methods for identifying land types of class I and 57 methods for identifying land types of class II, and describes them from 4 aspects (definitions of land types, scope of identification, distinguishing from other land types of class I, identification of land types of class II), in detail. It is aimed at improving accuracy in learning characteristics of and determining land types in Beijing and offering a scientific reference to land survey in Beijing, and of practical significance for improving the efficiency, shortening the period and assuring the result and quality of land survey.
