Recently, the Geothermal Division has actively communicated and coordinated with related district-level and county-level branches, and held training and work arrangement meetings to study thinking of work based on details of the geothermal mining right annual inspection, submission to the online direct reporting system, collection of compensation and recovery of persistently-unpaid compensation for geothermal resources and the review on shallow geothermal energy, arrangements for applying results of survey on comprehensive utilization of geothermal resources as well as arrangements for geothermal mining right pre-application. On the next stage, the Geothermal Division will continue to push progress and special fulfillment of multiple tasks. First, communication with branches will be actively enhanced to timely make clear problems, for the units failing to pass the annual inspection in 2013 one by one, and specific countermeasures will be put forward by type to lay firmer foundation for the annual inspection next year. Second, the units involved in persistent nonpayment of compensation for geothermal resources, which fail to pay after multiple times of coordination, will be exposed via media, and laws will be enforced in enhanced way. Third, branches will be guided to make full use of the “results of comprehensive survey on geothermal wells all over Beijing” to enhance dynamic patrols and keep strict daily supervision and management. Fourth, the procedure for evaluating and reviewing geological conditions of shallow geothermal energy will be detailed, and responsibilities of both the Bureau and branches will be made clear. Fifth, as required by Ministry of Land and Resources, the mining right scheme will be revised under assistance by branches, and branches will make comments on the applications for new mining rights within their jurisdictions found in the geothermal exploration and mining right registration of 2014.
