Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources Issued a Notice on Effectively Conducting Mineral Resource Management during National Day Holiday of 2014 and the APEC Meeting

    The National Day Holiday will come, and an APEC meeting will be held in November in Beijing. In order to keep normal sequence of mineral resource development, safeguard social harmony and stability, create a good atmosphere for the National Day Holiday, and ensure success of the APEC meeting, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources issued a notice on effectively conducting mineral resource management during the National Day Holiday and the APEC meeting.

    First, the district-level and county-level branches should enhance supervision and management, and inspect solid mine enterprises within their jurisdictions one by one to prevent mine-related illegal acts (e.g. horizontal or longitudinal out-of-range mining, destructive mining) as well as production safety accidents incurred by such act. Second, illegal mining should be strictly cracked down in enhanced way under uniform leading by the district-level and county-level Party committees and governments, and the areas vulnerable to illegal mining should be controlled and patrolled in enhanced way to find, prevent and investigate illegal mining without delay; to prevent resurgence, scene masters of illegal mining must be investigated strictly. Third, communication and coordination with departments of public security and safety supervision should be enhanced to practically fulfill the tasks involved with mine-related explosive control and mine safety supervision, and related details should be announced timely. Besides, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources will carry out surprise inspections and casual inspections in the form “no advance notice to units to be inspected, no disclosure of specific scheduling, no listening work reports, no escort, directly go to the basic level, directly go to the sites”.
