Beijing Announced Its Annual State-owned Construction Land Supply Plan in 2016

On April 22, 2016, Beijing announced its annual state-owned construction land supply plan in 2016. Accordance with the current development concept of "functions easing, population control, reduction of land, and space optimization" of the capital and with "downsizing and reduction, orderly easing, and innovation-driven" as the general idea, the supply of land in Beijing in 2016 will deeply implement the capital city's strategic positioning, and continue to implement the spirits of the important speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping when he visited Beijing and actively adapt to the non-capital function easing requirements, serve the population control objectives, grasp the new normal economic development initiatively, take land supply as the key to explore a series of reform measures for land supply, and promote the optimal allocation of land resources in space and structure. In 2016, Beijing's land supply will aim to strengthen the "supply-orientation" structural reform, explore the establishment of profit-oriented land increase and reduction mechanism, gradually implement urban reduction planning, promote the coordinated linkage of urban functions easing and effective undertaking, build sophisticated, refined and top industries, cultivate new kinetic energy, and promote the industrial structure adjustment and transformation and upgrading of the capital.

According to the Beijing's annual state-owned construction land supply plan in 2016, there is a total of 4100 hectares, where 1600 hectares for land transportation, 70 hectares for water conservancy facilities, 30 hectares for special land, 700 hectares for public administration and public services, 100 hectares for mining warehousing, 1200 hectares for residential land, and 400 hectares for commercial use.
