On August 16-27, the three inspection units for “shed houses” composed by Urban Planning, Land & Resources Commission of Beijing and Beijing Municipal Commission of Rural Affairs conducted spot checks for the “shed house” clean-up.

According to the Clean-up and Inspection Plans on “Shed Houses” Built by Illegal Occupation of Farmlands, the units listened to the reports on organization of "shed house” clean-up, promotion, self-inspection, rectification results and further measures by the governments of 13 districts involved in the agriculture, delivered the instructions of Supervisor of State Land and relevant municipal leaders and completed field inspection and office system examination, facility agricultural filing and file clean-up.

With the overall start-up of the municipal government, all the districts conducted mobilization and overall layout with correct recognition and high concentration, achieving satisfactory phased effects. Mentougou District did not find any shed house; Fangshan District, Yanqing District, Haidian District and Fengtai District completed the clean-up; Yanqing District achieved second plowing for the subject; and the others are striving to complete the task in the near future.

The units proposed three requirements: 1) To thoroughly clean up the “shed houses” and achieve second plowing as soon as possible; 2) to further study and improve the construction and standardization of facility agriculture to promote the benign development of modern facility agriculture; and 3) to set up long-term regulation mechanism and avoid the resurgence of “shed house”.
