203 Hectares of Land for Profitable Purposes in Beijing Were Traded in the First Quarter

      In 2018, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources continued to push forward with the structural reform of the land supply side, and under the guidance of the urban overall planning of Beijing, further optimized the structure of land supply and increased the supply of residential land. In the first quarter, a total of 23 transactions of land for profitable purposes were made in the land market, involving the land area of approximately 203 hectares, an increase of 121% compared with the same period of last year, of which transacted residential land areas are approximately 141 hectares, an increase of 78% year-on-year. In terms of land layout, 96% of the transacted residential land is located outside the Fifth Ring Road, and 77% of the said land is located outside the central urban area, creating favorable living and employment conditions for dispersing residents form the central urban area to outskirts. In addition, the total price of the transacted land for profitable purposes in the first quarter was approximately RMB57.3 billion, an increase of 126% over the same period of last year.

In the next step, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources will arrange land supply by strictly following the annual state-owned construction land supply plan and the "Four 70%" structure, give priority to guaranteeing the supply of land for housing with common property rights and small and medium-sized ordinary commodity housing to meet residents' needs for self-occupation. At the same time, we will make overall planning for production, living and ecology to gradually achieve job-housing balance. In addition, we will continue to strengthen market monitoring and policy reserve to promote the smooth operation of the real estate market.
