Recently, Beijing Municipal Commission for City Planning and Land Resources Management has organized and carried out the selection of 2018 Beijing Municipal green ecological demonstration area. Through the initial review of materials, on-site inspection, expert review, online publicity and other links, Beijing-Daxing International Airport and the area of Beijing Horticultural Expo 2019 finally obtain the title of "Beijing Municipal Green Ecological Demonstration Area", and the directional placement housing project (phase I) in the Beijing Yanqi Lake Ecological Demonstration Zone obtains the title of "Beijing Municipal Green Ecological Pilot Area".
Located at Daxing District, Beijing-Daxing International Airport has a floor area of 27 square kilometers and a total building area of 3.3 million m². Beijing-Daxing International Airport puts forward a concept of building a new "world first class" gateway of China, and it will be the important window for China to participate in international exchanges. Problems, such as airport transport interchange, comfort of the terminal, whole-process control of seadrome, have been solved distinctly; the using proportion of renewable energy is high; the technological means is advanced; the emphasis has been laid on the application of passive technology, and the whole-process green construction has been guaranteed comprehensively and systematically. Beijing-Daxing International Airport plays a role of demonstration and promotion in realizing the green and low-carbon, efficient and convenient and people-oriented services for future international airports.
The area of Beijing World Horticultural Exposition, located at the southwest of Yanqing, covers an area of 5 square kilometers and total building area of 0.25 million m². In this area, the exposition concept of ecology, culture, technology and innovation has been embodied. This area has Beijing characteristics and embodies the building policy of making Beijing a world first class city which is harmonious and livable. The ecological base there is good. While fully using the original form of natural scenery, this area introduces the concept of creating an ecological environment, improves the biological diversity in this area, and shows the fusion of traditional oriental culture and modern fashion culture. The emphasis has also been fully laid on the sustainable utilization after the exhibition. This area has the significance of demonstration and promotion.  
The directional placement housing project (phase I) in Beijing Yanqi Lake Ecological Demonstration Zone, located at Yanqi Town, Huairou District, covers an area of 0.07 square kilometers and the total building area of 0.19 million m². As the resettlement house for farmers, the environment of the residential quarter and the resident satisfaction are prominent. Advantages are reflected in paying attention to farmer demand, low-cost plant, high-effect energy utilization, farmers’ participation in property management and other aspects. This project has realized low-cost and high-quality construction, has strong replicability, and plays the role of demonstration for guiding similar projects.
