Ding Xiao currently serves as Level-1 Counsel and the Chief Engineer of Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources.

Ding assists in overseeing the Commission’s General Office, Land and Space Ecological Restoration Office (Mineral Resources Management Office), the Geological Surveying Management Office, Finance Division, and Beijing Natural Resources Management and Restoration Center.

Ding works in liaison with the Commission’s Beijing Institute of Geology and Mineral Exploration and its Fangshan Branch.
