Recently, the General Office of Ministry of Land and Resources transmitted the Instructions of Strengthening the Investigation into the Cases of Dereliction of Duty Endangering Land Resources, and required each Branch to study and implement it.
　　The Instructions stresses that the procuratorial organs should fully exert their power to protect land resource, and strengthen their investigation into the cases of dereliction of duty which endanger the land resource.  Also, it requires to focus on the main part in the investigation, especially into the cases that staffs in government organs abuse the authority, fail in their duty, illegally approve the land expropriation and land occupation, as well as transfer the right of the use of national land at low price against the law. Besides, it concentrates on handling cases of dereliction of duty which attract high public attention, and which are assigned by the Party Committee and the procuratorial organs at the higher level, which arouse strong resentment among the people and mass disturbance, which are exposed by the media, resulting in a baneful influence, as well as where decision-makers serve as the "umbrella" of Mafia-like gangs who commit the damage to land resource.
　　The Instructions also defines the duty of supervisors while highlighting the investigation. Those operators and supervisors, that take bribes against law, bend the law for personal gain and engage in fraud, conceal the truth, provide false information, thus affecting decision-makers' decisions and causing harmful results, will be seriously punished. Those that fail to put forward objections over decision-makers' wrong decisions when they know the decisions are wrong, or fail to correct, stop and investigate the wrong decisions, thus arousing severe damage to national land resources, will be charged with the crime of dereliction of duty and punished according to the actual situation.
