Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources Holds Beijing Municipal Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Quality Working Meeting

 

In order to strengthen the supervision and management of surveying and mapping quality of Beijing Municipality and improve the quality of citywide surveying and mapping results, on July 17, Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources (hereinafter referred to as the "Commission") organized Beijing Municipal Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Quality Working Meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Inspector Tao Zhihong and principals of more than 400 entities qualified for surveying and mapping.

This meeting is the first surveying and mapping geographic information quality working meeting convened by the Commission after the reform. It mainly introduced the adjustment to the management responsibility of the surveying and mapping geographic information industry, explained the optimization and simplification situation of the relevant business process, pointed out the existing problems and identified priorities for future work. Experts were invited to conduct the special training on the quality management of surveying and mapping results and the requirements of quality supervision and sampling inspection. At the end of the meeting, 60 projects from 60 entities were selected on site as the 2019 annual results quality supervision and sampling inspection project. 

Deputy Inspector Tao Zhihong emphasized at the meeting: The institutional reform this time had put the surveying and mapping management on a higher platform and provided greater opportunities for the positive industry development. The Commission would conscientiously implement the requirements of the "Streamlining Administration and Delegating Powers, Improving Regulation and Optimizing Services" reform, continuously optimize the business environment, increase the breadth and depth of deep research in the grassroots entities, fully understand enterprises' demands, effectively reduce the burden on enterprises, and stimulate the vitality of market players; continue to strengthen interim and ex-post regulation, and jointly connect various links such as the results quality supervision, qualification management and credit system management to form a closed-loop management and create a good market environment with laws and regulations compliance, supervision cooperation, credit management and fair competition. All surveying and mapping entities should pay high attention to the results quality, which should always be the lifeline of the industry development, practically implement the entity responsibility, establish a sound quality management system, strengthen the personnel training, and hold the bottom line of quality. At the same time, these entities should give full play to the new advantages in scientific and technological innovation, make constant self-improvement, keep up with the pace of the times, encourage and support diversified enterprises to enter the surveying and mapping geographic information industry, promote the scientific and technological progress in the industry, and strengthen the industry strength, to make greater contributions to the development of the capital.
